Quintessential: Bolos' Second Solo Exhibit

Dr. Ann Theresa Bolos draws upon visual elements from her personal experiences and ideas to create narratives of women that go beyond the common conception of femininity--what women should look, do, and say. Her visualization of femininity is classic and at the same time defiant often challenging one's psyche and archetypes.

In "Quintessential," a second solo exhibit, Dr. Bolos will showcase classic works--her eloquence in watercolor painting and her depiction of classical notion of womanhood, and her recent pieces which focuses on mysticism and generation of narratives about the meaning of "beauty." Also, this exhibit pays tribute to her passion and commitment in advancing the cause of the local art scene making her, in our judgment, quintessential of an artist.

Her works are on exhibit at Juliana's Kitchen (for the classic ones) and at Cups & Berry (for her recent works) from August 08 to 30, 2023.

Opening exhibit was graced by local artists from different arts group, as well as by Dir. Christopher Gozum. - Gid Flores
